Pastor Beth Hamilton
Pastor Beth Hamilton was born and raised in Clinton, Wisconsin – a small farming community in the southeastern part of the state. She was baptized, confirmed and ordained at Clinton First Presbyterian Church, where her great-grandparents were charter members. Pastor Beth received her Master’s of Divinity degree from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, Illinois, and received her Master’s of Theology degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey. She also received her Certificate in Spiritual Direction through Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia.
Pastor Beth is married to Pastor Mark Bedford, who serves as the Head of Staff at First Presbyterian Church of Sioux City, Iowa, and they enjoy the blessings of a blended family. Their older daughter Sloane currently lives in Los Angeles, California with her partner Shane, and their younger daughter Christina resides in Salt Lake City, Utah with her husband Everick. Pastor Beth enjoys reading, hiking, lifting weights, and tending to her houseplants, as well as spending time with their fur babies, including an adorable Cocker Spaniel named Evie and an active tabby cat named Jazzy.
Pastor Beth and her husband moved to the Siouxland area in 2021, and she began her ministry here at First Presbyterian, South Sioux City in September of that year. Her previous pastorates were in northwest Illinois, and she also served as a hospital chaplain in the Chicago area and in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
